Every March, the world comes together to commemorate and celebrate the amazing leadership, strength, achievements, and courage of women throughout history and in modern society. Through the past two years of uncertainty and turbulence, women have been faced with unique challenges– but in times of hardship, we find unity and strength in our tribe and community. One of our core principles at Civile is that “A Rising Tide Lifts All Ships” and as such, we strive to be a leader, paving the way and highlighting the powerful force that is a community of women. 

Times are changing and 21st-century women are CEOs, athletes, heads of households and are taking over male-dominated industries. And while we’ve seen more women in leadership positions than ever before, according to a report from IBM, only 5.5% of CEOs among 3,000 of the largest U.S. companies are women. Additionally, according to a report by Pitchbook, studies show a decline in venture funding for the second year in a row, with female founders securing just 2% of venture capital in the U.S last year.

At Civile Apparel we are proud to be a 100% female-founded and female-operated business. Our team is made up of seven amazing women who serve as Civile’s trusted partners, unified by our love for pickleball, each bringing a unique perspective garnered from years of expertise across a variety of industries. You may be familiar with our company tag line, “be civil, play nicely,” but that doesn’t just apply on the court. As women in business, we became tired of asking politely for a seat at the table, so we’ve put our collective tools together and built one of our own; a table where all are welcome.

We created Civile Apparel with the modern woman in mind, recognizing our diversity and the multifaceted lives we live. Providing an inclusive outlet for women to feel confident and fashionable while doing it all is the cornerstone of our brand. We aim to champion women of all ages as mothers, daughters, sisters, boss ladies, and athletes through timeless apparel that not only looks sleek but is also functional, versatile, and stylish.  

At Civile, we’re proud to be women-owned and women-operated, but more importantly, we’re proud to be a reflection of the strength in a tribe of powerful women. We hope to empower others to surround themselves with those who have strengths that match their weaknesses, for it is the power in collaboration and community that enables us to thrive.
